New on Netflix November 2022: Best new movies and TV from The Crown to Enola Holmes 2 – Yahoo Philippines News

It's a very interesting time for The Crown to debut its long-awaited fifth series on Netflix UK, in the wake of the passing of the torch from Queen Elizabeth II to her son King Charles III in the real world. Imelda Staunton takes over the lead role from Olivia Colman, with Dominic West playing Charles and Elizabeth Debicki stepping into the shoes of Princess Diana as the series explores their divorce.
Elsewhere on Netflix this month, Millie Bobby Brown returns for a second Enola Holmes movie and Jason Momoa leads fantasy adventure Slumberland. On the TV front, Tim Burton finally enters the world of The Addams Family in Wednesday and workplace sitcom Blockbuster explores a fictionalised take on the last branch of the video rental store.

Imelda Staunton picks up the royal baton as the latest actor to play Queen Elizabeth in hit Netflix drama "The Crown", whose new season has faced criticism as it addresses a difficult era for the British royal family so soon after the late monarch's death. The award-winning stage and screen actress, whose past credits include "Vera Drake" and the "Downton Abbey" and "Harry Potter" films, leads a new cast for season five, set in the 1990s, of the royal drama focused on Elizabeth's reign. "This time in the royal family’s life was very tumultuous and the writers didn’t shy away from any difficult issues," Staunton told Reuters in an interview.

Heading into next week’s midterm elections, many Republican candidates are seeking to capitalize on voters’ concerns about inflation by vilifying a key component of President Joe Biden’s climate agenda: electric vehicles. On social media, in political ads and at campaign rallies, Republicans say Democrats’ push for battery-powered transportation will leave Americans broke, stranded on the road and even in the dark. Many of the attack lines are not true — the auto industry itself has largely embraced a shift to EVs, for instance, and some Republican lawmakers are quick to cheer the opening of EV battery plants in the U.S. that promise new jobs.
