Netflix is starting the month off strong, kicking off May with hit films we are likely already to know and love, like Academy Award-nominated classic romantic-comedy When Harry Met Sally, and star-studded action-comedy The Gentlemen, which are definitely worth watching again and again.
Moving further into the month, the platform is debuting an impressive array of original titles to beef up their already-stacked catalog of hits. Senior Year is one of the most highly-anticipated titles to hit the platform this month, largely thanks to excitement over seeing Rebel Wilson as its leading lady, so be sure to keep an eye out for the comedy’s premiere on May 13. Or if you’re feeling a craving for something a bit more dramatic and cerebral, you’ll find what you’re looking for in the Colin Firth-led World War II drama Operation Mincemeat hitting Netflix on May 11. In this Netflix Original comedy film, a 37 year-old woman (Rebel Wilson) wakes up from a coma that lasted 20 years before returning to her former high school in hopes of reclaiming her popular status and fulfilling her dream of becoming prom queen. Senior Year stars Wilson, Zoë Chao, Sam Richardson, Mary Holland, Chris Parnell, Alicia Silverstone, Justin Hartley, and Angourie Rice, and is directed by Alex Hardcastle.
